Flurry of Chores

One of my top tier items to accomplish today was painting this rifle stock. It goes on a Mossberg 702 Plinkster, possibly the worst rifle I own, but since I only paid $100 for it, I thought it might be fun to give it a little custom camo look.

After a day of dirty work, it was nice to get under the shower from my newly-installed shower head.

Wow. I had a ton of energy today, probably because, after a long period of very cold weather, it was unseasonably warm today. I set several broad goals, and accomplished most of them. They included…

  • Installing a new shower head
  • Painting a rifle stock and a lens hood
  • Moving bunches of filthy, spiderous items from the old shed to the new one
  • Moving bunches of filthy, spiderous items from the garage to the new shed
I happened to have a filter in my pocket as I was making pictures at sunset.

The garage and shed chores are open-ended, and there was little chance I would finish either one today, but I did a lot more than I expected. It’s odd. Every time I told myself it was time to go inside for a break, I spotted something else I wanted to do, and did it.

As I waited for Abby to get home, I grabbed a camera, as I often do. I made this image in the north pasture from near ground level.
