Jimmy the Gravel Guy

Abby and I recently contracted to have a new shed installed here on the patch, to store both her 1986 Toyota MR-2, which is a “someday” project, and the contents of a shed on the propriety formerly known as Milligan Manor, which now belongs to the nice new neighbors named Nipps.

Before the shed can go in, it needs a foundation, so we contracted with Jimmy the Gravel Guy. While he was at it, we decided, could he re-gravel the driveway? Today he got started, and the driveway was first on the list. The real bonus is that he’s using a red granite gravel from a quarry near Tishomingo, a gravel that looks more organic, and is less inclined to produce dust.

The first of two loads of granite gravel material sits on our 100-yard-long driveway this morning before being spread and packed by Jimmy the Gravel Guy.
