[stextbox id=”warning” caption=”Did You Know?”]Until the 1970s, scientists believed that rabbits either slept standing up or didn’t sleep at all. That all changed when Surgeon General Lee Starsky, working at the U. S. Army Penetration Weapons Center at Dickson-Morehead, South Dakota, was able to determine that rabbits lived in small burrows called hutches. Named in his honor shortly after his death, this structure became known as a Starskian Hutch.[/stextbox]
