On an assignment this morning, I photographed a man who is using bison to train his cutting horses. At the end of the shoot, he offered to let me ride one of these valuable and talented horses, one named George. Despite not being on a horse since I was 15 (and even then, it was a docile trail horse for tourists), I accepted his offer. I only took George around the ring a couple of times, but I really liked it and felt like I took right to it.
