Abby and I drove our motor home, which we have agreed to call “Kokopelli,” to Duncan, Oklahoma, today, where we left it in the care of Abby’s aunt Judy in advance of family reunion next week. Our plan is to occupy it next weekend, but since Abby and I will arrive at different times, and since Abby can’t see well to drive at night, it needed to be there ahead of us.
While we were there we had lunch with Judy, her son Donald and daughter-in-law Mindy, visited for hours, and got a tour of the cabin they have in the woods south of Judy’s house, which is something of a hunters museum. Donald also took the wheel of our RV and parked it in just the right spot that it will serve as a house for us, a nap station, and an extra bathroom for the reunion.
Finally, my sister called to say that after much discussion, and in conjunction with her birthday today, she and Tracey have decided to get married. We are delighted and excited by this news. They have set December 3 as their wedding date.
