Demagnetizing This Week

My wife Abby and her daughter Chele have discussion last week.

Abby and her best friend are spending the night at Riverwind Casino in Norman to relax.

So I had the day entirely to myself. I worked some images. I watched some of Lawrence of Arabia, which Abby didn’t want to see. I worked outside, including mowing. After mowing, I pulled out my earplugs (worn to help preserve my hearing), and was quite stunned by the beautiful moment before me: the walnut tree, the pasture, the golden sun going down.

The country, as it often does, invited me to stay and enjoy the evening.

Also in my comings and goings, I found a relic from days gone by: an audio tape recorder demagnetizing device.

This is an audio tape deck head demagnetizer. I feel strongly that it is an answer without a question.

It worked by putting it into the cassette deck and pushing “play.” After 15 seconds, your record heads and playback heads were demagnetized. The problem came from the fact that no one ever showed me that audio cassette tape heads needed this procedure.

Also, in keeping with a very fun tradition, we recently made the semi-annual Paul-with-his-Parents picture…

  1. What’s that under the tree — a doghouse? Was it there last time I was there? I don’t remember it. I know Dauphine would enjoy that. In fact, she’d enjoy the whole property. HINT cough HINT.
