Our Big 8 Championship

Technically I have been married slightly longer than Abby since I was standing on the east side when we exchanged vows and thus it was a few microseconds earlier for me.

We have been married eight years and we are still going strong. Eight years ago today, at Delicate Arch in Arches National Park, Utah, we made all those promises, that we would forsake all others, which, of course, we have. The hardest of the vows was “until we are parted by death.” I do not want to be parted by anything, ever.

To celebrate tonight we exchanged gifts and I made dinner for us. One of my gifts to her was a hard cover book (similar to the book of my travel photos) of images from our wedding.

  1. Actually, if you were standing on the east, it was later for you, just like it’s later in New York than it is in Denver.
