“I’m Learning”

I have to say that I am pleased with everyone I am teaching presently, both the group at the Pontotoc Technology Center Monday evenings and the gang at East Central University in the mornings. They are two very different groups with distinct goals, and it requires me to reset my teachometer when I go from one to the other.

This morning at ECU I gave them something of a challenging scenario. To follow up on yesterday’s Nerdco session, in which we photographed a 12-inch tall Nerd (a toy my wife brought home a couple of years ago), I told them that SunGlassCo wanted some new pictures of their new line of mirrored sunglasses. I also told them that the last photographer got fired because his reflection was in all his shots. Thus the fun began.

It seemed like everyone was having fun, but the real breakthrough moment came in the studio when someone said, “I don’t care, I’m learning.” Nice.
