Eureka! March 2024

A Short Photo Excursion to Eureka Springs, Arkansas

I recently had the opportunity to visit northwest Arkansas, both to attend a dinner in honor of someone who had died recently, and to see and photograph Eureka Springs.

I shot these images with my Lumix GH2 with the 14mm f/2.5 and the 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 lenses.

I have a few seconds of 8mm film of my grandmother Lydia Batten walking at this spot. She was not well, and walked with some difficulty.

This gentleman showed us the spot where you can stand adjacent to this large wooden cross and hear a "miraculous" acoustic effect. When I told him I was from Ada, he actually knew several of my Ada friends.
