Family members and friends of Joseph Tusan weep and hold each other as they listen to the video arraignment of Amon Reich, who stood accused of intentionally ramming the pickup in which Tusan and some of his ECU Tiger football teammates were riding, killing Tusan and critically injuring several others. The murder was treated as a hate crime by prosecutors. Reich was sentenced in late 2004 to life without parole.
