Coming Soon on The Traveller…

Abby and I spent Christmas in Baltimore with “the kids,” Abby’s daughter Chele, her husband Tom, and our grandson Paul. They are among our favorite people in the world, and it was a privilege to share the holidays with them.

As is always the case, a trip merits a trip report, so look for one soon on our travel blog. We had a great time, including seeing and very much enjoying Star Wars, the Force Awakens; eating at our favorite diner, The Bel-Loc; visiting several locations where The Blair Witch Project was filmed; and visiting a neighborhood in Baltimore, Hampden, noted for its excessive Christmas spirit.

This is the block in Baltimore's Hampden neighborhood that goes all-out on Christmas decorations.

  1. Looking forward to the details of your Blair Witch trip. Brings back memories of my favorite horror movie. It’s also just a really great “outdoors” movie, the first and only of its kind. In addition to the creepy, suggested supernatural stuff, it’s a very plausible story about something that could very easily happen to anyone — getting lost in the woods. Really excited. Also, I hope you’ll be specific in your reaction to “Star Wars,” which I thought was both great storytelling and great cinema.
