A Divine Wind of Comedy – 30th Anniversary Edition

Okay, here it is, our 1985 community access comedy Kamikaze Badminton. Shamelessly violent, terribly acted, awkwardly photographed, a little racist in spots, and littered with sophomoric production values, it remains the only film created by Paranoid Adolescent Fantasies Productions. By today’s high-definition standards, this film looks almost cartoon-like, but it was made with equipment that was state of the art in the early 1980s.

Kamikaze Badminton stars Robert Cote, David Wheelock, Michael Zeiler, Dwight Strimple, Karl Krummel, Neal Thomas, and me as the guy who didn’t have enough to do that summer. I am able to show it to you now because the 18-year  Kamikaze Badminton copyright has since expired, so there is little chance any of these people will be able to sue me for posting it.

  1. I enjoyed this more than you could know. It was fun to see you and Michael back in the day, the way I remember you so fondly. And your volkswagon too!! Yeah, I’ll probably watch it over and over.

  2. Enjoyed this. The objects in the tree. Ha. “A lot of twins out on the field”. :-) And a little too much Graeco-Roman-style man-on-man touching in the third act for my taste. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. Well done.
