The Underlying Order Is Chaos

In the late 1990s, a buddy and I watched the movie Slacker pretty much until we had it memorized. This buddy of mine had a camcorder, and we decided to make some kind of faint attempt at our own stream-of-conciousness movie. As you can see, it was ten times as brilliant as Slacker (which I quote twice in this clip), and only failed at mainstream success because of interference from John Milius and the military/industrial complex.

  1. Loved the trying-to-spin around in a kid’s toy bit, and yes, the dairy tree. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Slacker, though my memory is notoriously faulty.
