The Predator

I know two people right now who are seriously ill with cancer. I can only imagine their pain and fear. All I can say to them is that every breath is precious, and that we are all, one day, of the earth.

I smile and hold them in my thoughts. Every moment. Every breath. This moment is our home.

  1. Cancer can certainly be scary, and painful, and… etc. I have lost an aunt and uncle to cancer, and my wife lost her mother the same way.

These instances remind us constantly that every moment is a gracious gift, and that all of us have an "expiration date," so to speak.

  2. “All I can say to them is that every breath is precious, and that we are all, one day, of the earth.”

What a beautiful and sensitive sentiment Richard. I have been very affected by this since I read it almost a week ago. I don’t think I’ve ever heard it put quite so beautifully. Thank you for sharing it.
