An October 2006 Anniversary Trip for Richard and Abby

On the middle day of our trip, Abby decided to take the day off and relax in Monticello with the dogs. I took advantage of the situation by taking a long hike in the Needles district of Canyonlands National Park. I went some of the way up Lost Canyon, then doubled back to Squaw Canyon and made the loop with Big Spring Canyon. All told, I hiked about 10.5 miles, and saw a total of eight other people.
